Description

A permanent, senior engineering role for a Professional Electrical Engineer or Technologist with a strong background in Datacentre electrical design and consulting. The engineer will contribute to and lead electrical design on high-impact projects, collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, engage with clients, and support junior engineers within a dynamic, human-centred engineering firm.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to and lead electrical design and delivery for Datacentre projects
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop innovative, energy-efficient solutions
• Engage with clients to understand needs and deliver value-driven outcomes
• Take ownership of projects from concept through to commissioning
• Support junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team

Qualifications

• Registration: Must be ECSA registered as a Professional Electrical Engineer or Technologist
• Experience: Minimum 5 years in electrical consulting, specifically within the Datacentre sector
• Technical Expertise:
• MV and LV switchgear design and commissioning
• Network studies, protection coordination, cable design, transformer sizing
• Practical site experience with electrical installation contractors
• Project Experience: Exposure to large, multi-disciplinary Datacentre projects
• Consulting Insight: Experience in consulting environments or related client/contractor roles
